Well....it's been quite awhile hasn't it! Let me begin by saying.....my absence from the world of blogging is not a result of me letting go I've what I started. In fact, things are going as good as ever. The only problem is finding the time to get on here and make a post.
It seems as though the last month or so have been absolutely crazy and by time I get home at the end of the night I'm too exhausted to do pretty much anything. Unfortunately, it does not look like things are going to be slowing down anytime soon! I'm going to try and be better about getting back into the swing of posting a little more often.
I'm up to about a total loss of 35 pounds, although I haven't been on a scale in awhile. The best way I can tell on how things are going is by my clothes. I had two pair of dress pants that I had to have taken in. I took them in about 2 inches and they're still a bit big. Tonight I bought a new pair of dress pants and am back to a size 40. At my largest, right at Christmas I was up to a 44 and I guess you could say a well-fitting one at that. Now I'm at a comfortable 40. If I can get down to a 38 comfortably that would be AWESOME!
I had someone give me a "compliment" the other day. It was pretty funny. She said, "Take this as a compliment, but your clothes are way to big." I laughed and just agreed with her. I guess this is a good problem to have....my clothes really are getting to the point that they are too big, but I don't want to buy a bunch of new things yet, as I am hoping to lose even more.
I think the last 3 weeks have been my hardest/worse since I've began. I was telling someone today though...even my worst days now are better than my a "good" day prior to Christmas. So I try to keep things in perspective.
We were tracked out and I actually took some time off this time. I usually work even when the students are tracked out, but I put new hardwood laminate in our living room and took some time off. The lack of being in my routine and the structure of my days when I'm working got me off track, but we're back in school now and I'm back to my regular schedule.
I looked at bikes tonight and think I'm pretty close to going ahead and buying one. I'm looking forward to doing some riding and continuing to work towards reaching my goal. I think that will really help me get to my goal of 250 by July 7th, 2011.
I have also been thinking about working towards entering a Triathlon. It's not something I've ever thought about until recently, but I'm definitely going to look into it.
A big thanks to a teacher at school and friends from church for asking about how things are going and asking where my blog posts have been. That was the whole point of this...keeping me accountable! Feels good to be back on making a post.

Tad - That's terrific! Only suggestion I have for you is that once you get down to your desired weight would be to go through all your close and get rid of everything that's too big. Don't hang on to anything. That way you'll never be tempted to put on something looser again!
